Royal Doulton Motoring Series Ware Cuspidors and Spittoons

Vintage motoring new china cuspidors, also known as spittoons, from Royal Doulton's D2406 series. A spittoon is a receptacle made for spitting into such as those who chew and dip tobacco. It is also known as a cuspidor, although that term is also used for a type of spitting sink used in dentistry. The following example features the designs 'Blood Money' and 'Deaf' on the reverse.
